They've had them down Falesia outside the supermaket across the road from Pine Sun Park for over a year now. When we were down there recently there was more cardboard (boxes) laying on the pavement than in the bin which was nowhere near full. Presumably, people couldn't be ar*sed to break them down and fold them up to go in the slot

They have similar in Av de Liberdade, near the pharmacy. We get the cardboard left on the ground next to the bins by us too. And bottles left in carrier bags next to the glass receptacle.

Same style has appeared opposite the Arte Bar. Much easier for recycling glass - just tip the bin into the receptacle.
