we have just moved over here from England, does anyone know any kids clubs where my 2 boys can meet other kids ,they are 10 &12 , we live in algoz . we are home schooling them at the moment but thinking about schools also , any recommendations

No idea, sorry. I am sure some of the older ones will be learning English, but Portuguese will be the lingua franca, naturally.

If you have the money, there is the Nobel International School at Porches where tuition is in English. Website - https://algarve.openapply.com/
The state system wil send them according to area. Obviously the main language there is Portuguese, but all the children start to learn English around age 10 or 11. It's essential for most of the work around here. You would have to ask whether they provide Portuguese lessons while the others are learning English. All the paperwork will be in Portuguese, so best find a helpigng hand from other ex-pat parents. I also recall that if you enter them into the state system, you have to provide letters of attainment from their previous (UK) schools so they know what levels they are at.

Friends with kids in state schools over here are happy with the level of education. The administration on the other hand...
