We saw a lot of goats when we were at Quinta da Saudade in June, either under the shade like these or being brought through by the goatherd. Might even have been the same ones?

Sensible creatures. I saw a big white horse yesterday up near the road to Branqueira also standing under a tree. The pigeons couldn't be bothered to fly and we had a large gull walking up the road in front of us as well. Didn't have camera to hand unfortunately.
