Just a word of warning.
I have just had a vodafone bill that for some reason had an extra 15 euros charged to it. By all accounts this was by a company called BOKU who are some company who charge to your telephone bill..sim card..when somebody buys something normally computer games/points.
They are supposed to send a pincode to your phone which you send back to verify it is you they then add cost to your telephone bill.
I never use my sim card in a phone only hot spot nothing else in 2years so I never made the order and everything has password on it.
It seems basically fraudster buys points/games off a company gives random phone number to BOKU to pay then returns any pincode and BOKU accept it
.
Two days of emails BOKU would not do anything without a police crime number. The game seller was Chinese company so like banging head against wall.
The girls in the Vodafone at Modelo whilst being helpful and understanding the situation would/could not do anything.
So went to Vodafone at Algarve shopping within 2 minutes lad said oh yes we are aware of that I bet BOKU said they could do nothing and refunded the money straight to my bill. My Portuguese is basic at the least but enough to understand the lad at the service desk next to me was relaying the same story.
Hope that makes sense...basically morale of the story if you get BOKU on your vodafone bill go straight to Algarve shopping don`t bother trying to thrash out with BOKU or at Modelo phone shop.
