   A reminder that Monday 5th October is a public holiday, Republic Day. Commercial offices, banks, post offices etc will be closed, but for most it's not a holiday of course with almost all all supermarkets, bars and restaurants open as usual.

Trains and buses run to Sunday times.

There may some civic worthies making speeches etc but perhaps not this year.
