Some pictures taken around the marina this afternoon. Reasonably busy, but no boat trips because of the wind and rough sea.
The centre section of the Great Wall has been demolished. To what end it is not apparent and it still looks very untidy. Behind it several metres deep of soil has been dumped. Again, to what purpose but possibly connected to the work slowly getting way under for the Phase Two development. More of that in a separate item. The business end of the harbour. |

Only been down that way a few times and we always get back to The Old Town via large steep slope and Rocomar Hotel etc. Was wondering, is it possible to travel at beach level from Marina Entrance to Fisherman's Beach ?. We did once attempt to walk to Town at Beach level but came across what looked like a dead end and as we couldn`t see a way along the beach we retreated back to the hill road.

Impossible, however plans were made to make a walkway all the way but it has never happened. In the future, who knows.

Yes there was a plan to build path around the headland. It was dropped when someone realised it would be at the mercy of the waves much of the time and be a devil to build in the first place. Money better spent elsewhere.
