Well, a bit of a bonus at lunch time today, sitting with a beer and passing the time ocean watching down at Gale, we had two pods of dolphins come very close to shore and put on quite a display, a great sight, much enjoyed. Sadly I didn’t have my camera with me. They were less than a hundred yards out and stayed for a good ten minutes.

The “Nautifun” beach sports people, you know, jet ski, banana boat, paracending etc etc people, packed up middle of last week and cleared all their stuff, the dolphins were right where there boats, ropes, floats etc have been all summer. So, I suspect, all that paraphernalia 50/75 yards out keeps them away.
That said, it might be the shallower waters are warmer and that’s brought them in. Dunno, either way, it was a sight worth seeing. |
