Opposite the (inexplicably) busy Johnny Hoopers though, and it does get some footfall from Forte do Vale to The Strip. Tom did alright when he was running it.

Thank you everyone. Yes Algarveaddick you are right the bar did well just a nice cosy bar that like you said got forte do vale plus the villas around "aldeia turistica" that provided just enough costumers. Would be nice to see it open again at some stage. I been a costumer from the time when it was called Monkey's bar. Does any of you remember it when it was called Monkey's? :-) Would be lovely to see it back up and running at some stage

Remember Chris and Sue from monkeys - saw Chris over here a few years back. One very badly behaved afternoon many moons ago, we crashed the swimming pool in the complex behind then made an SAS entry thru the back window of Monkeys - pouring wet straight from the pool. They had recently installed a Mars bar ice cream fridge and at every opportunity we raided it til empty.

Brilliant that story Pete :-) The complex is Oura Parque if im not mistaken :-)
I remember the huge amount of teddys and dolls around the bar and the wooden tables outside. Loved the fact that with 10-15 people the bar was full giving it a great atmosphere.
