The townhouses around the back are mostly now occupied but around them is a wasteland still.          |

It is nearly a year since the repair works were completed and when we understood that sales would begin. Since then, nothing. Meanwhile, yesterday, all was quiet. Some of the large properties around the back are occupied. Click to see a larger picture.    |

The weeds grow higher. The first though are part of the Albufeira council's policy of encouraging the growth of natural plants along the roadside pavements.       This giant palm tree is prone to attack passers-by.  You cannot see it here,but this pool is full to the top.  |

More than 16 years since the first post and still it is moribund. Eighteen months ago a great of time and effort and money was being expended to refurbish several of the bloicks. Still no signs of life. The weeds are gradually taking over again.    |

Pictures taken 31st May. The inhabited areas around the back look a lot different to the half of the site that was not renovated. Weeds are slowly taking over the area that was expected to be on sale 18 months ago.   This is up the steps from the road around the site.  The empty hotel seen from there.  The renovated area.   The weeds and undergrowth should have been cleared to reduce the risk of fires.  |
