It will be opening under new management next week ....different name and no longer an Indian restaurant. New owners will be known to many on the forum.

What's the big secret? I am sure they would appreciate you giving people the heads up (unless their previous place was dreadful)...  [ smiley - still can't actually post one ]

Regulars at O Galeao will know Camelia ...and those who have eaten at Praia da Gale will have already sampled her husband Claudio's food...he was chef there for many years. This is their first restaurant.
Hopefully many of their friends and previous customers will support their new venture together.

Wow, now how strange is that, as Camelia had a chat with us late last year but, that's a very big restaurant for a start up, big rent as well as the adjacent house is part of it.
Looks like fewer Galeao visits, she was the friendliest of the lot.
Good luck to them both, we shall certainly be supporting them, in fact we'll be in next week!

Spice Lounge in the Old Town itself. From the square head to the north east corner, walk between Pampas and The Bank, go straight ahead between the leather shop and the Mexican restaurant. Head straight up that road, past Os Arcos and Bistro. When you come to the end, just ahead of you, opposite the bus stop is Spice Lounge.

Our favourite is on the dual carriageway, up the steps next to McDonalds - Indian Sizzler.

We went last friday evening to Spice lounge, chicken tandoori and the food was very good
The waitress there used to work in an Indian rstaurant that is now an Irish Pub for a year of two in the old town.
She recognized us
