I did a tour of the area yesterday and have now updated my map at http://www.algarvebus.info/Salgados_Gale_Sesmarias_S_Rafael_map.htm

There are no notable changes since last year.

A few places were closed (it was lunchtime) but some looked to be well closed, ie no tables or chairs outside etc. In most cases there was no sign to say when or if they will re-open.

Includes Jompra, Pôr do Sol, Quinta da Galé, O Marinheiro, A Grelha do Ti-Manuel, Scooby's (which will open "when the flights start flying" and Dubliner bar. Seasons bar opens tomorrow, Solar das Oliveiras on 1st July. Tommy's supermarket was also very closed.

But it's only some not open. Although there were few customers, most places were doing business.

Hello, I’m new to the forum , but have a home in Cerro Da Aguia, do you mean that O Marinheiro is closed ? I hope not 😔 Also I love all the photos you take.

O Marinheiro was definitely not open on Monday lunchtime and to me looked very closed. I didn't venture close to see if there was any sign or notice about opening.

But things are moving elsewhere, so maybe in a week or two they might open up when the tourists come back.

O Marinheiro was also closed yesterday lunchtime. Pôr do Sol had a sign outside saying 'open soon'.

Jompra remains closed.

Delighted to hear. This is a quality restaurant, normally if you haven’t booked you’ve had it.
A tourist restaurant in Old Town that we use, and many on here do so as well, the owner picked this place as best quality with-in miles.
Of course there is the two star Michelin place just round the corner but that is very much specialist and whilst it’s superb it’s the once a year special occasion type of place.
I’m happy to endorse what our friend said, O Marinheiro very much top of the table. Looking forward to dining there soon!
