Not many unusual delays yesterday amid yet another French air traffic control strike.
There are no more strikes currently on any lists I can see, but that one yesterday was called at 48 hours notice. Air France will be on strike for a week at the end of the month. Pau hospital is on strike tomorrow. Postmen in the Loiret department are on strike, as are the street cleaners in Rennes, the bus drivers in Bordeaux and the A&E wards at Caen hospital. Perhaps the military exercises were in preparation for a few bombing runs over the strikers.

Daughter was away on time this morning no problems. I noticed that also bob d. Thought it was strange so many planes in French air space.
The rest of Europe should boycott them altogethor and their ferries where possible. |

It makes me wonder whether they called it off because earlier I checked departures terminal 3 Manchester and at least 3 planes were on final boarding for CGD Paris & No cancelled flights showing.

They're at it again! There will be a French Air Traffic Control strike next week.
The strike, called by the UNSA union, will hit flights between Monday March 6th and Friday March 10th. |

Isn't it about time they had another revolution and be done with all this? Just string up a few of the politicians, so the downtrodden masses get back their 35 hour week and retirement at 50.

You would think they would give it up as a bad job. I don`t know why British operators do not avoid French airspace at all times where possible and fly down West coast of UK. Hit them in the pocket. Couple of times we have diverted it took no longer flying from Leeds or Newcastle. Granted more Southern airports might not be the same. |

Yes, last June we flew from Newcastle over Dublin and the coast of southern Ireland to avoid French airspace and still arrived at Faro on time.

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.
