"Not many big teams this year"
Ajax will be playing Lyngby and Duisburg at Albufeira stadium apparently on Saturday 13th ie a double header for the whole squad. Ko times tbc. I am double checking that as Imortal Albufeira have a league match scheduled for that same day, but with all that money dangling I can imagine they would reschedule to accommodate Ajax! Also starting on 17th January at Vila Real Santo António a women's U-19 tournament featuring England, Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway and China. Match dates being finalised soon. In additional, the annual Atlantic Cup will be played from 27th January at Albfeira, Ferreiras and the Bela Vista stadium in Parchal. Some games will be in the afternoon, some at night. Fixture dates are on the Atlantic Cup website but not the teams. Check http://www.theatlanticcup.com/fixtures/2018 nearer the time. We understand that Shamrock Rovers will be one of the eight teams taking part. |

Ko times for Ajax in Albufeira on 13th January will be 12noon and 3pm. Imortal's match will either be at 7pm that night or on Sunday.

Atlantic Cup fixtures have been revised. Most games will be either at Parchal or at the Algarve Stadium but there will be two games at Ferreiras on 6th February.
Check the fixtures at http://www.theatlanticcup.com/fixtures/2018 Admission is either free or a nominal 5 Euros or so. Regulars will know that a car is essential for evening games. Local transport does run as late as 10pm when those games will be finishing. |
