She always goes off on one if we are sat at a coffee shop and there`s some skinny size 8 Portuguese lass stuffing a massive cream cake down her neck. She looks at a cake and puts a pound on. Maybe it`s all the expresso the Portuguese drink speeding the metabolism up?

We love walking and find we walk sooo much on holiday we come home with a few pounds off ! 8D]

Hit the nail on the head Dicey. In England our social life is now just about zilch....used to be 3 or 4 nights a week out....can`t do with the idiots now. Get to Albufeira as you say cheap beer good company etc

LOL, snap! I'm doing dry July in preparation of our next visit! It's easier to lose it and put it back than to gain it and try to lose it afterwards I find!

Despite eating mostly salads and maintaining a healthy diet while we're here I usually put on a couple of Kg per stay & then lose it again when I get back to the UK. I put it down to cheap alcohol as I drink probably 4 times as much here as I do at home.

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

We aren`t on holiday we are over there 10 months of the year. That`t the trouble for her it ends up one long holiday

Judging by the size of most of the backsides I see on the beach I'm not sure that the Portuguese are into slimming

Thanks but she needs the structure of something like the slimming clubs over here to see she is losing weight. She should just use my method.... I just blame the the washing powder in the Algarve for making my clothes shrink .
