I watched Sporting v Santa Clara in the cup semi-final last night. If you want to see a classic example of the bias towards the big three, look no further. 2.45 in. The Sporting season ticket holder in the black shirt should never referee a game again.

Also last night

Campeonato de Portugal Group F

Moncarapachense v Pinhalnovense Não Iniciado. That's three games in a row Pinhalnovense have defaulted on. That could be the end for them.

Algarve League Division One

Almancil 2 - 1 Culatrense

Algarve Cup Second Round

Silves 2 - 0 Os Armacanenses

The group phase of the Portugal Inter-regional cup (a tournament between the different regional leagues) takes place this weekend . The Algarve FA group is down here, matches thus :

Friday 28th Algarve v Beja at Silves ko 1800hrs
Saturday 29th Algarve v Évora at Lagoa ko 1500hrs
Sunday 30th Beja v Èvora at Silves ko 1100hrs

In the Women's FA Cup, Guia have been drawn away either to Vítoria Guimarães or Covilhã in the fourth round. Either way, a long trip up north to face difficult opponents.

LAST WEEKEND'S RESULTS NEXT WEEKEND'S GAMES

Liga Bwin

Portimonense 1 -2 Tondela att 848. The poor run of form continues, now down to 8th. Portimonense had a player sent off after an hour and fell to two late goals. They will be away next weekend.

Liga Sabseg

Farense 3 - 0 Estrela Amadora att 2583. A vital three points for Farense. They remain 16th of 18 but now have some space between them and those below. Their next game is on Thursday night,ko 20.15hrs against Académica Coimbra, who are bottom of the league.

Campeonato de Portugal Group F

US Montemôr 1 -1 Olhanense
Serpa 2 - 2 Louletano
Juventude Évora 5 - 0 Barreirense
Moncarapachense 3 - 0 Imortal Albufeira

The game between Pinhalnovense and Lagos was scrubbed from the fixture list. That's four in a row where Pinhalnovense have not played so it looks like curtains for them. They are though still shown in the League table.

Moncarapachense are now top, 26 points from 12, Louletano second with 26 from 13, Olhanense third with 24 from 11. Imortal remain sixth but all those below have games in hand.

Wednesday 2nd February at 1500hrs / 3pm

Olhanense v Louletano - an important game at 3pm on a midweek afternoon? That wil do wonders for the attendance.

Next Sunday at 1500hrs / 3pm

Barreirense v Pinhalnovense (perhaps!)
Imnortal Albufeira v US Montemôr
Louletano v Juventude Évora

Last night, Farense 3-1 Academica Coimbra.
An important second win on the trot lifts the locals up to 15th position. Particularly commendable as they were losing at half time.

In Imortal's league, Pinhalnovense have been officially kicked out and record deleted. Imortal are now seventh of nine, but only two points behind Lagos in 5th place. Three points tomorrow against the bottom club US Montemôr will be very useful.

Yesterday

Campeonato de Portugal Group F

Olhanense 5 - 1 Imortal Albufeira. Imortal were 1-1 after 11 minutes but collapsed in the second half. Only to be expected against the best team in the League. The goal was scored by the oft criticised Sandro Cabral while club captain and chief defender Pedro Rodrigues sat on the bench. In the second phase, Imortal will now be playing  in the group to avoid relegation.
