I see Louletano v Olhanense finished 2-2 with Olhanense having a man sent off I believe before Louletano levelled late on.

Check out the 'Ficha do Jogo' here

It was a 90th minute penalty. A quiet first half then the game reverted to type with eight bookings, a sending off and four goals in the second period.

The result did Imortal a favour with neither team gaining much ground.

LAST WEEKEND'S RESULTS NEXT WEEKEND'S GAMES

Liga Bwin

Portimonense are playing at Braga tonight, ko 1900hrs

LIGA Sabseg

Farense are playing this afternoon, at home to Penafiel, ko 1400hrs.

CAMPEONATO DE PORTUGAL  First Phase Group F

Louletano 6 - 0 Serpa
Imortal Albufeira 1- 1 Moncarpachense
Lagos 4 - 2 Pinhalnovense
Barreirense 0 - 0 Juventude Évora
Olhanense 1 - 0 GD Montemôr

Louletano are top, five games played and 11 points, Olhanense are third with ten points, Imortal fourth with seven points but still unbeaten! Lagos are 6th, Moncarpachense 7th.

Next Sunday at 1500hrs / 3pm - games in the Algarve

only Moncarapachense v Lagos. The others will be away in far flung parts.

Could be some issues here as, on Wednesday last, the Algarve FA did the draw for the first round of the Algarve Cup which is scheduled for this coming Saturday! Imortal, Lagos and Olhanense are all involved. Natioal games take priority so I should imagine their Cup games wil be played on a different date. See below for Algarve Cup information.

ALGARVE LEAGUE DIVISION 1

Quarteirense 0 - 2 Quarteira SC
Almancil 2 - 2 Guia
Lagoa 1 - 2 Os 11 Esperanças
Ferreiras 3 - 2 Louletano B
Lusitano VRSA 0 - 1 Odiáxere
Silves 1 -1 Internacional Almancil
Farense B 1 - 2 Culatrense

Culatrense are top, 12 from four games thus 100%. Quarteira SC are scond on 10 points, then Ferreiras also with 10.

No games next Saturday, see Algarve Cup below.

ALGARVE LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION

Os Armacanenses 3 - 1 Alvor
Marítimo Olhanense 0 - 3 Paderne
Quarteirense 2 - 0 Portimonense B
Campinense  - 2 4 ao Cubo
Sambrasense 4 - 1 Bensafrim
Carvoeiro United 1 - 0 Messinense

Quarteirense are top, 12 points from four games. Paderne are second with 10 points, then come three clubs with nine.

No games next Saturday, Algarve Cup as below.

ALGARVE CUP DRAW FIRST ROUND
SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY 6th NOVEMBER except as noted

All KO times 1500hrs / 3pm unless stated

Lagoa v Portimonense B
Farense B v Olhanense  Tuesday 23rd November ko 2130hrs (!) at Penha, Faro
Quarteirense 1937 v Os 11 Esperanças
Alvor v Paderne
Culatrense v Almancil at Horta da Areia, Faro
Lagos v Campinense WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 10th ko 2100hrs.
Sambrasense v Lusitano VRSA
Ferreiras v 4 ao Cubo
Carvoeiro United v Imortal Albufeira Wednesday 10th November ko 2000hrs at Estombar

Bensafrim v Silves
Guia v Quarteira SC
Internacional Almancil v Messinense
Odiáxere v Quarteirense
Marítimo Olhanense v Os Armancenses at Olhão Municipal Stadium

Byes -  Louletano and Moncarpachense

The second round is scheduled for 1st December, a public holiday.

WOMEN'S FOOTBALL NATIONAL LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION SOUTH

Pasteis Bola 0 - 2 Guia

Guia are 6th of ten teams. Next Sunday they will be at home in the first round of the FA Cup, ko 1500hrs / 3pm against Almada FC

and I am remiss! Ferreiras has a ladies team in the Third Division! Didn't know that.

On Sunday they lost 3-2 at home to Palmelense. There are six teams in their group. Ferreiras are currently fourth, with three points having won one game and lost the other three. Seems they aren't in the FA Cup and with a game only every two weeks they won't be at home again until 4th December.

Note amendments above to Saturday's Algarve Cup games. Imortal and Olhanense are still supposed to put out a team to play on Saturday and then play a League game the next day.Still, with seven subs allowed there will be a few who won't have played much this season.

Shows how unimportant this Cup is seen to be.

The games involving Imortal and Olhanense have now been rescheduled. Nothing like planning ahead. Surely the Algarve FA must have known that Imortal, Olhanense and Lagos would be playing in the League, which takes priority and could have had the games re-arranged with a bit more than 3 days notice!

Just to confirm this weekend's fixtures for the top two teams .

Portimonense v Belenenses Saturday at 1800hrs / 6pm

Farense will be up at Covilhã on Sunday night ko 1930hrs, live on Canal 11 so should be streamable via various dodgy websites.

Finally saw Portimonense score. Game itself was poor quality. Portimonense should have scored at least 4 but their striker was woeful, missing several one on one opportunities.
The only decent player was Shoya Nakajima who was a class above everyone else. Still getting back full fitness from a awful injury but hopefully he should ensure a positive season.
Finally the ref was an absolute joke. Not sure how many he booked but it must have been double figures.

Only nine bookings! Not very productive the ref. More later.

LAST WEEKEND'S RESULTS NEXT WEEK'S GAMES

Liga BWin

Portimonense 2 - 0 Belenenses att 1185. Portimonense now stand in 6th place with 17 points from 11 games.  No match next weekend of course and the week after that it's the FA Cup, so they don't play in the League until 28th November when they travel up north to Famalicão.

Liga Sabseg

Covilhã 0 - 0 Farense  175 hardy souls braved the Sunday night cold (I have been there, it is cold!) for a game which looks from the stats that Farense had the better of. And a poor performance by the ref who issued only 5 yellow cards.

Farense have drawn their last five matches. They stand 16th of 18 teams with seven points from ten games. They do have a game next weekend. They will be at home to fellow strugglers Trofense on Saturday at the unwelcome time of 1100am thanks to TV.

Campeonato de Portugal First phase group F

GD Montemôr 0 - 2 Imortal Albufeira
Pinhalnovense 0 - 0 Barreirense
Moncarpachense 1 - 0 Lagos

Six games now played. Olhanense are top with 13 points, Louletano second with 12, Pinhalnovense third with 11 and Imortal fourth with 10.

The eccentric fixture list has no games scheduled for next weekend nor the weekend after. Therefore the next full round of matches will be on 28th November.
