Lots more flights due in at Faro on Wednesday, 21 I count up until 1725 there may be more. That's more than double today and tomorrow. From UK - 5 France - 2 Germany - 6 Luxembourg - 1 Belgium - 1 (but there will be three tomorrow) Ireland - 2 Holland - 2 Switzerland - 1 Lisbon - 1

Faro is now receiving around 35 flights a day. Around a third today are operated by Ryanair. That's welcome, but still way short of the same time last year. There are still none from the Scandinavian countries, Canada, Russia, Poland, Austria, etc.

Bob, was this a standard Boing 737 with a usual capacity of 150’ give or take? If so it was circa two thirds full, we’ve flow many times in the good old days with the plane less full than that so that’s positive.

Yes Andrew. I thought it was very positive too.
I feel very safe here. Everyone I come across are doing what is asked of them. Even the taxis are maximum 2 people only. That is why poor Cubsur had to walk home the other night. Ha. 😆😆😆😆 A lot of people ask about paying with cash. No problem, cash is still king and when handing over cash to our driver he sprayed it with sanitiser along with our hands.

"That is why poor Cubsur had to walk home the other night. Ha. 😆😆😆😆" Did me good. I slept well. I was told at first hand that only a 'few' of Albufeira's taxi drivers accept card payments. Obviously the majority are wishing to reduce their tax bill. Still no flights into Faro from Scandinavia. One benefit that can be seen from the reduction in air traffic is that there very few flight delays.

Noticed an odd thing on flightradar24. It shows several Jet2 flights today including 1 to Faro but Edinburgh Airport destination board shows none. I think Jet2 pulled their Scottish flights for July when Scot Gov announced it's quarantine rules. Must be working from old lists.

Flight Radar sometimes does that I have noticed. Good news that friends from Denmark are now able to come. Their government had previously banned all arrivals by air from Portugal, hence no flights.
