It has gone quiet again at Faro. Only three international flights due in today, from Rotterdam, Geneva and Paris. A bit busier tomorrow, two from Amsterdam and one from Brussels, Frankfurt, Berlin, Dublin and Paris

More or less the same as last week ... people seem to be doing weekends .. or a week between weekends ... 10 fights Friday ... 19 flights Saturday .. Alfagar was fairly busy based on their webcam last weekend ... but has been quiet since Monday again .. same as the various beaches.

Two aircraft have just passed over here on their way in, very low and very noisy! One was from Hamburg and the other from Brussels. I count six more Germany today, three from Netherlands, two from France and also coming from Luxembourg and Switzerland.
All full of people making essential journeys??

Including a BA flight from Heathrow! Also there is a Luxair flight from Malaga due in at 1810. It's a positioning flight, as at 1900 it heads off back to Luxembourg. Nineteen flights are due in tomorrow including three from Lisbon and other odd one, From Zaragoza in Spain, a charter flight operated by JetNetherlands doing I know not what. Shows that not all flights would be carrying passengers.

We had transferred flights from last May to this May, thinking it would be better , 20th to 27th but they have been cancelled ! In fact my local airport has no flights at all to Portugal in May and I know some who have had June cancelled already !
This is not looking good at all ! |

With no-one daring to book holidays it's not surprising that airlines are cancelling flights now, rather than wait until the last minute and the choas that would cause. |

Just seen a Lear jet fly overhead in Albufeira. Flight was from Birmingham (according to Flight Radar) - wonder if it is to collect some of the F1 personnel from yesterdays Portuguese Grand Prix?

Very interesting that EasyJet had cancelled most flights in May, but now I can see they are reinstating some , wonder if they have had a heads up from the government about the green list !

I doubt it they are in the know, but if people are going onto their website looking for flights, that will surely trigger some response. But anyone booking anything is surely taking a biig risk. And there is still the question of having to pay for two health checks for each member of the family, which could add £500 to the cost of a two week holiday trip. Are people forgetting this?
