Very very hot in the last week which may culminate in records being broken today. Up here in North East England we are forecasting 30 degrees but in some parts of the UK it will be significantly hotter. ☀️🌞

A fine spring day.
It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

Certainly been an interesting mixture of weather in the last week. Generally fairly warm but periods of hot, humid sunshine and thundery showers.
As the latter are localised we have not had the severe flooding experienced elsewhere but it certainly rained a lot last night.

I'm just waiting for late morning pitch inspections at various Northern League grounds before venturing out for my Saturday football fix.

Yesterday was nice day in West Yorkshire, mostly sunny and 20º. This morning though it is more normal, heavy low and grey cloud and very windy. Currently (9am) around 13º which supposed to reach 23º this afternoon, but where that's coming from is hard to see!

Yesterday stayed cloudy and there were a few spots of rain during the afternoon.
Today, the first day of the main reason for my being here, Yorkshire v Kent, has dawned with patchy light cloud and a pale sun. Currently around 14º, forecast says 19 later and staying dry.

Yesterday in the Costa del Headingley was very pleasant, apart from the first 45 minutes or so of the game! Almost unbroken sunshine, 21º and Yorkshire smacked all around the  ground.

Today looks like being not quite so warm, but still sunny and dry.

It was a fairly warm day in Leeds yesterday, so much so that a woman sitting near me at the cricket was complaining about the heat! It's Yorkshire in September I thought, be grateful it's not ****ing down! Today has dawned rather cloudy, but we are forecast a dry day and around 18º.

Yesterday was a proper Yorkshire day, dull, grey and gloomy, reflected by their team's performance on the field, har har!

Final day today, Kent will quickly wrap up proceedings under a clear sunny sky. Currently 9º expecting 18º later.

Glorious day in Leeds, on the cricket pitch and off it. And now the sun is setting...

Off to Canterbury tomorrow, where rain is forecast.

Travelled down from Leeds to Canterbury yesterday, sunshine all the way. This morning in Canterbury it's sunny and about 12º at the moment, forecast is 21º and unbroken sunshine. Better than next week when the cricket is on, typically it's going to be rainy all week with the chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday!

Grey morning here in Canterbury, rain in the air, unlikely to have more than 17 or 18º today.

A few spots of rain yesterday but wasn't too bad. Today has started sunny and about 13º. Expecting about 18º later and we should get a full day's cricket in but the rest of the week looks like being totally horrible.

Dark, dismal and raining in Canterbury this morning with a lot worse to come. No danger of any cricket today.
