Fortuntely visitors don't come to dear old blighty for our weather. They enjoy our excellent cuisine. The grumpy service they get from our waiters and bar staff who really feel the job is beneath them - thank God for the eastern Europeans who do these jobs so much better. The extortionate prices in B&Bs. And our wonderful west of Scotland midges. I wonder that I don't stay at home for my hols.

It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

Lovely in North Norfolk today - sunny, a bit breezy and currently 24. Oh, and definitely no midges. IPMA says it's currently only 21 in Albufeira

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Contrast with East Sussex, after a very grey, gloomy and drizzly start to the day here we all are at around 4pm this afternoon in the blazing heat at the cricket! |

Wow Pete, what is going on? A lovely 22 degree’s here today, I hope this isn’t set for the next ten or so years, not what we bought in PT for! After the past week in Corfu, we might have to move on, but what about our Albufeira mates!

Yesterday in Sussex started cloudy and grey but by lunchtime we had 20ºC with mostly blue sky. It was rather windy though. Today is already bright and sunny but not very warm, max today 19ºC in a north wind, could be as low as 9ºC tonight they say.

Nice day yesterday, sunny afternoon with a few clouds. Cold last night though as forecast. Today has begun with clear blue sky, it is still fairly windy. Today we will possibly have 22ºC here.

Was a nice day yesterday especially as Kent won the game! Cloudy here this morning, should clear later to leave sunny sky and 20ºC maybe. It is still fairly windy at times. Anyone looking for a sunshine holiday could do worse than the Sussex coast this next week or so, forecast says 23 - 25ºC all week after tomorrow.

Just spent a week in Dorset. Very hot weather -too hot in fact 😤First time visit for me to the South Coast- it's beautiful in Dorset. Fab coastline all around. Lovely honey coloured cliffs in Burton Bradstock where we stayed (near to West Bay) -stunning.Lyme Regis was really nice too. Took some lovely photos of amazing cliffs and so hot there we could have been in the Algarve ! ☺ The coastline along Dorset is just stunning.
