We didn't get any rain to speak of yesterday but it was very windy, especially later in the day. This morning it's a little cloudy, 17º at 0800hrs and a moderate wind. Expecting a sunny day but not very warm, 18º at the most.

Now in Eastbourne where another delightful summer day is ahead. Weather warning issued for 50mph winds and rain, temperature won't exceed 19º.

It was quite a nice day yesterday, I went to the seaside at Broadstairs. Last morning in Canterbury where it is cloudy and 18º, chance of showers later maximum 23º.

Yesterday contained one fairtly hefty shower which interrupted the cricket for a while but not long enough unfortunately! Today it's 18º at 0815am, rising to 22º with a mix of showers and sunny intervals through the day.

Turned into a cool and blustery day yesterday but unfortunately the forecast rain missed is. A lot of runs were scored in an uninterrupted day's cricket, but not by my team! Today promises to be cloudy with sunny intervals, currently 17º at 0755am rising to 22º. Quite breezy as well.

Canterbury, 0740am, mostly blue sky, a bit windy and 17º. Max today 23º and should stay dry. Not so the next few days, rain more than likely, and colder, Welcome to British summer.

Tonbridge, Kent. Bright sunny morning with a forecast high of 26 or 27º today! Not so good for the dys that follow, when the cricket's on. Much lower temperatures and rain possible almost any day. Bah!

Nasty so far, a line of very heavy showers has just passed by. Reports of flash floods to the north of Eastbourne around Lewes. Clearer weather now approaching, 19º forecast. But I return to sunnier climes this afternoon, weather and aircraft breakdowns permitting. My last two trips Gatwick to Faro have been around two hours behind schedule.

Turned out a very wet day in Eastbourne yesterday. Rained stair-rods from around 1pm until late into the evening. Today started nicely but is clouding over. No rain expected, 19º at best.

Now in Eastbourne, where an hour ago I was woken by blazing sunshine through a gap in the curtains. Now it's gone behind cloud. Should be a fairly nice day though and 21º, with a small chance of a shower later this morning.

The Costa del Margate yesterday. It wasn't all that warm at times, a bit of a cold breeze coming off the sea, but not a deterrent to the hardy holidaymakers.    Today forecast to be sunny and 22º in this part of the world.
