When I left Ashford (Kent) yesterday at 11am it had just started to rain.

I am now in a very soggy campsite in the Vendee region of France where it has been cloudy and windy with a few spots of rain. It rained hard here al last week. Not much change there then.

Tomorrow I head off towards the area of Perpignan. Doesn't look particularly wonderful down there either!

Pah! Cricket was abandoned an hour before play due to start and it was grey and miserable all day. A typical Bank Holiday Monday in other words.

Good morning - huh! Here in Tonbridge, Kent, it is typical Bank Holiday weather. The rain is absolutely lashing down and has been since the early hours. It doesn't show any signs of easing up and the danger of there being any cricket today is fading rapidly.

Ho-hum.

Further up the East Coast it was a lovely day on the Tyne. Just had a meal overlooking the river watching the big ships comin in,  it did rain a tad but it passed over and it's not a bad night now.

Didn't rain here either until 745pm when we had literally two spots of rain while sitting outside Weatherspoon's in Tonbridge quaffing Palm beer from Belgium.

It was cloudy most of the day but the sun broke through from time to time and it was overall quite pleasant a day. Except for the score at the end of the day's play!

Kent need 134 to win with 5 wickets standing, one day left weather permitting.

Good old North West wasn't too bad today.  About 14 spots of rain and a bit of a breeze.  Forecast for the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend is good here, though, I'll believe that when I see it for myself, hope it is good though as my nephew is getting married tomorrow - he's about 33 so we've waited a b****y long time to send him on his way!!  Clap

I was wrong! It didn't rain and early evening was quite humid.

It was also overcast here in Tunbridge Wells until about 5pm, then the clouds went away, the sun came out and it was quite warm, around 20C, for the last 90 minutes of the day's play.

Showers forecast for tomorrow.

Yesterday at the cricket in Tunbridge Wells it was unseasonably warm! A little windy earlier in the day but blue skies, very little cloud and lots of horrible sights as shirts were removed among the crowd.
