This looks more like it, from a post by Stuart123 in 2017. The wall does not seem very visible though. This was a model in the marina office. Obviously a lot of it has never been built.

Work on the massive new sewers and drains along the Estrada da Vale da Orada has finished. The roads are slowly being put back. Elsewhere on the site progress seems very slow indeed. The road outside the Clube Pesca e Nautica has been cut. There is a now a long diversion through the building site as below.

I've not posted on the forum for a long time, but today I watched as the great marina wall was painted grey and also tiled in the middle.

It should be for a water fall feature down the centre of the wall.

Thanks. That will be worth a look next week. There certainly will need to be some flow of water between the two halves.

The area this afternoon. The geography is changing rapidly as the new roads are opened up to traffic. The road Rua do Farol that I marked two posts above as closed is gone for good. It has been replaced by a new road parallel to it about 150 metres to the west, i.e running more or less up the middle of the site.

Here's some shots from the top of Cerro D'Aguia to show much the area being developed is changing now that the road layout is taking shape and traffic now able to use them. There is still not a brick above ground.

I shot this photo last year and it will be interesting to see how things have changed if we ever get back there.

Last October I snapped both the plan from the site office and the model on display so here are both and all I could get regarding the the wall was mirror water so a shallow water feature rather than a lake.

Thanks, I had seen the picture but lost it. It will be interesting to know who is going to use the two football pitches. The road layout now visible certainly looks like the drawings.

Work continues. The road layout is almost complete. The old farm buildings have been demolished although the well, canals and cistern have been retained and are being cleaned up to be incorporated into the new area. Footpaths are starting to appear.

Three weeks further on. The road layout  is complete and fully open although there is possibly unwelcome change to the traffic flow. Men are beavering away all over the site, but as yet there is still nothing above ground. The site of the old livestock market has been almost completely cleared.

The traffic change is as per this little map. This means if you want to come down the hill from Sesmarias and São Rafael and go towards the main road, you now have to turn right and go along the new road to the marina and turn left.

Thanks for today's photos.
It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

Does the Giro Vermelha 1 bus stop at the same place as before at the Marina?  I can't work it out.

A hive of activity yesterday compared with previous visits.

Yes, on the dual carriageway section between the two roundabouts.
