Post Office buying online are giving €1.08 for £400, €1.0956 for £500 up to £999 and €1.102 for £1000 and over.
Not seen anywhere giving €1.12

Lets hope it continues to rise a bit more, considering Brexit issues and the covid situation. Fingers and legs crossed..
Can't understand why rates in Albufeira are so low, ( obviously money grabbers). Who in their right mind would exchange money there unless they were truly truly so desperate.

I am happy that this month I received €12 more in my pension payment than October, due to the slightly increased rates. It will be an unsettled few months for sure, so anyone coming here from UK for any kind of holiday (if that's allowed of course) will just have to take what they can get.

Experts (so called) are predicting a biggish fall in Stirling if our Buffoon doesn`t get a reasonable deal or worse still, no deal at all

The saving grace for some is that it will not matter to tourists, with few if any holidays being taken in Euroland next year. Business (if any is left) will not be happy though. The financial traders and gamblers must really be looking forward to the next few months. Chance to make a good profit if they get it right.

Bringing in the Brexit changes on 1st Jan, whatever they are, is going to add commercial chaos to the Covid problems. Unless posh boy rolls over and gives the French the fishing access they want there will be chaos at the channel ports. Either official or protests by farmers & fishermen. Not going to help the pound. We live in interesting times.

Pound holding at 1.11 .... but keep your eye on it over the next week as markets are likely to be `jolly` and push it up to where it will not be for very long ... maybe get a stock in for the 2021 visits ... be optimistic ...

There's bound to be some fluctuations in the market with the initial uncertainties around business with the EU and the new trading rules. The heavy hitters, whose dealings determine the rate tourists are glad to receive, will no doubt be making a few bets when the markets open tomorrow. We won't see even 1.20 to the £ but fingers crossed for some stability. Us old fools who receive UK pensions here need the extra beer money even a small rise in the rate will bring.
