Cheque Centre offering €1.174 today.
We always take cash and put some in the safe in the room and split the rest between me and the missus.
The Hotel covered thefts from your safe up to about €900 if the worst happened.Cool

It was 1.0450 in Albufeira on Sunday before I left for the UK.
Nationwide debit card rate on withdrawals on Friday the 18th was 1.1196, so quite a lot better rate.

It's worries about the UK economy thats weakened the £ against other currencies, It's not Gordon Browns fault, he is blaming the prevous chancellor !!!
