This is the weather station that appeared on the villa opposite us back in August, wonder if it's the one you mentioned Cubby, it's a big gun!

Yes I think that's the one. It is offline at the moment.
It was a very grey and murky start to the day here and the sun is only just breaking through. Current temperature is 22C/71F rising to 25/76 later. There's a very slight wind from the south. No rain around here but anyone flying down today might be in for a rough ride, as there are thunderstorms all over the north of Portugal right on the normal flight path.
They are still forecasting showers, some thundery, for tomorrow and Wednesday.

Incredibly foggy around Algarve shopping at 8.30 this morning. 15 minutes later it was as clear as a bell.

And as 2 o'clock approaches it is clouding over and looking decidedly like rain is already on the way.

It will be well on it's way - we just rode through it back to Estoril - not too heavy but enough to spoil a beach day!

Sorry folks, it's our fault, we're out tomorrow so it's us that's caused the rains. Bah!

A very yucky morning here, heavy grey leaden skies, just waiting to do something nasty. It's 21C/70F and incredibly sticky and humid. 96% says the weather station. Very light wind from the south so it's not going to shift much soon.
Today's high 24/75 and some light showers expected at the least.
Once again there are storms raging across the centre and north of the country, so anyone flying down today might have some fun.
As for Sunday, it's hard to say. The general opinion seems to be the rain and storms will have passed and we will have clear skies and around 26C/78F, which I am quite happy to take. But things change, so keep an eye out here and we shall do our best to keep you up to date.

Well it ainit now! I have just lost my TV Cabo satellite TV signal which is not a good sign. The lightning is starting to flash and the thunder is rumbling. There is a fairly hefty looking storm on the radar with target for tonight Albufeira written thereon. It has just started to rain very hard.
More later.
