It very black out to sea at 8.15 am and the weather feed says clear skys, in it's dreams, no rain yet we might be lucky. The wind is from the north over Pateo so it may keep the rain away.Thumbs%20Up

Yes the skies are very black out to the SE and the radar shows a large area of thundery rain over that way. The wind is very slight.

Current temperature is 21C/69F, today's high 26/78.

Watch this space.

Admin - are you still looking for a webcam site?  Maybe if the owners of the villa are prepared to team up with Wunderground on the weather, they'd be amenable to having a webcam up on their roof too!  Views over the Marina and Sao Rafael, and the most amazing sunsets.

On the same theme (although off topic I know) if you are still looking at the webcam idea, I will have a go at Alto do Moinho management next week to see if they'd be interested in putting one on the windmill.  Or Avril, if you're there now you could have a word with Antonio - using your considerable charms, of course! Well an hour later and the skies are now uniformly grey and cloudy. The wind has picked up ever so slightly and is now from almost due south. The radar has a great mass of rain stretching east from Faro right into Spain and extending a long way offshore. There's another lump of rain almost due south of Albufeira unfortunately.

Given the slow speed of the mass and the extent of it, if and when it does rain it is going to do so for a long time I think. Actually it would be nice if it did as I can put out my rugs for a free wash.

Tipping it down at 9.50 with loads of thunder and a bit of lightning!  Whoop Whoop!

Nice for your rugs Tom, I have just had to crawl around in the attic to remove a yrs worth of guano and feathers that block my inbuilt naff guttering and thus prevent water seeping thru most upstairs celings!

Really not the sort of thing you want to be doing first thing in the morning - or anytime I imagine!

Just hearing the first rumbles of thunder also. Looks set in, can smell the ozone and the clouds are very heavy.

If it's still raining at 3pm I shall be well cross.

Well, coming up to 130pm and it looks like the little storm is over, for the time being at least. The rain has stopped, the sun is coming out and temperatures are climbing. it looks like it will be a good afternoon for football after all.

But keep an eye out - the wind has shifted round to the SW and it might be one of those storms that turns round and comes back!

A couple of my rugs did get a nice rinse.

There were a few spots rain around 5pm yesterday and again rather later while I was walking home. But that was all and it does look like the rain has gone away for the time being at least.

At 1000 am Sunday it is 23C/73F, blue sunny skies and a very slight wind from the north. There are a few high, wispy clouds. Radar shows no rain anywhere so a very pleasant day is in prospect.

Floor rugs they were and cleaner they are. It was a bit warm yesterday afternoon, running round a football pitch.

Up early this morning, lots to do and the weather looks fairly good. 8am and it is a bit cloudy but currently 19C/66F rising to around 25C/76 later. Slight wind from the north. There's no rain around. However the forecast suggests it will cloud over later and that showers a re likely tomorrow, but not as heavy as on Saturday.

Coming to 5pm and it is a very humid 23C/74F. I'll bet the golfers who were worried about the weather are happy and sweating their way around the course. Me - I  have been shopping this afternoon and now sit sweating buckets.
