It was rather windy during the night and still is. Temperature at 0930am is 16.3º, so about the same as yesterday. Forecast for this afternoon's Carnaval parades elsewhere is for 19 or 20º, maybe just 21º nearer the coast, but feeling colder because of the wind.

Tonight could feel quite cold because of the wind. It will be down to 10 or 11º.

There will be little change until the weekend, maybe a bit cloudier from time to time but daytime dry and around 20º in the afternoon.

There was precipitation last night! A thin drizzle was falling at around 1130 and the ground was still damp first thing this morning. Most unexpected and rather peculiar.

But it is a sunny morning again, there are a few streaks of high cloud. Temperature at 0915am is 13.4º, so not as warm as yesterday. Expecting a high today of 19 or 20º. There is a light wind from the north which will be with us all day.

Tonight will be around 10 or 11º.

The next couple of days will be much the same, but a cold front is heading our way which will quite likely bring some rain over the weekend and on Monday.

And yet another sunny morning. It will end soon. Temperature at 0855am is 13.0º, so the same as yesterday. No clouds today and a light breeze coming in the windows.

Forecast is for a very nice day, the afternoon temperature could reach 22 or 23º. It will be fairly cold again tonight, down to 10 or 11 on the coast, 8 or 9 inland.

It will be a fairly good day again tomorrow, but come the afternoon the wind direction is going to change and that's what's going to bring the rain over the weekend. It won't be cold, 19 or 20º maybe, but it is quite likely to be raining on and off from around lunchtime on Saturday, through Sunday and into Monday.

Low cloud this morning but it is starting to break up now the sun is coming up. Temperature at 0805am is 14.5º, so a bit warmer than yesterday. There is barely any wind. It will be a bit cloudy all day with top temperature around 20º.

It won't be cold tonight, 13 or 14º at worst. The wind will increase and bring with it light rain for tomorrow. That's expected to be with us from early morning until lunchtime. It won't be warm as it has been, 16 or 17º. Sunday is also likely to be a rainy day.

Next week will be a bit unsettled with showers likely almost any time with daytime temperatures between 16 and 19º, night-times 9 to 13º.

It is pretty cloudy out there but we have had no rain yet. Temperature at 0940am is 15.8º, there is a light wind. There is rain up to the north west, slowly coming this way. If it does rain, it will be this afternoon and early evening. It won't be heavy.

It won't be too cold tonight, 12 or 13º.

Sunday and Monday will be a mix of sunny intervals between occasional showers or light rain. The rest of the week will be mainly dry, daytime around 198º but colder at night, perhaps only 9 or 10.

Very cloudy this morning, lots of dark grey. There has been some light rain, but it is dry now. Temperature at 1000am is 16.1º.

It will stay cloudy today and there is a good chance of a second spell of wind and rain this afternoon. Maximum temperature will be about 18º.

It won't be cold tonight, lowest temperature 15 - 16º. There might be some showers during the night. Then Monday should be a dry day to follow, but fairly windy. The rest of the week will be mainly dry, but cloudy with a chance of showers and around 20º in the  daytime, but colder at night especially towards the end of the week.

Sorry for delay, couldn´t log in earlier then was busy.

It's cloudy today, a thin layer is blocking the sun but it's warm enough, 18.5º at 1345hrs. I can feel a  light breeze coming in the window.  There a few small showers away to the south, if you are out later it might be worth casting an eye across the sea.

It could be pretty cold tonight, down to 10º perhaps. Tomorrow and the rest of the week will have sunny spells, some cloud and there's little if any chance of rain. Day time temperature will up around 19 or 20º, night-time 10 or 11 along the coast, a bit colder inland.

It is cloudy this morning, also a bit windy. Temperature at 0905m is 15.2º.  It will stay cloudy, with the wind increasing as the day goes on. It should stay dry for most of the day, but there is the chance of some showers early evening. Maximum temperature around 19º.

It won't be too cold tonight, not lower than 12 or 13º. There will be little change over the coming days, a mix of sunny spells between clouds and almost no chance of rain.

I am off on a little trip until Saturday. Remember that you can check the local forecast in English at http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/#Faro&Albufeira

I am returned from a very windy and a bit rainy Elvas to bright sunshine here in Albufeira. At 0800 it was 13º and just over an hour later it's 14.5º and a sunny day is forecast.

The light wind is from the north, it is very dry air. A good drying day. Maximum today maybe only 21º but the temperatures will rise during the week to perhaps as high as 27º. The nights will get warmer, 12 or 13º at lowest. There is the forecast says, zero chance of rain for the next seven days.  This is not good news for the farmers and growers, let alone the water supply industry. Coming down from Lisbon on the train yesterday I was struck by how dry everything looks.

Another bright and sunny morning. It was only 11º at 0730 but now at 0845 it is already  14.2º and warming up to an expected high of 23 or 24 this afternoon. The wind is fairly light at the moment but will increase later.  23 or 24 is of course way above average for early March.

A side effect is that I am definitely suffering from hay fever like symptoms. The dry wind is bringing all sorts down from the north.

Tonight it will be around 12 or 13º, so not too bad. The next few days will be warm and sunny, 22 - 23º with a high of 27º forecast for Wednesday. Nights will be a little warmer, around 14º.  No rain is expected.

Sunny again this morning although it is expected to cloud over a bit this afternoon Temperature at 0930am is 14.7º, there is a light wind. It's not such dry air as has been. Temperature this afternoon is expected to be 23 or 24º.

Tonight it will be around 13º along the coast, maybe 11º inland.

A warmer day is expected tomorrow, could be as high as 26º, even warmer Wednesday they say with a likely shift in the wind direction bringing warm air up from the south. Whatever it's going to be a dry and sunny few days ahead. Come the weekend, there's a chance of a shower or two and it will be cooler, but still warm for mid March.

Same again, sunny and warm. Temperature at 0800 is already 15º. We are forecast a high of 24 or even 25 this afternoon. Very light win. Hay fevery feel also!

Tonight the temperature will fall to 14 or 15º. Tomorrow could be even hotter in a more southerly wind.

The rest of the week will be slightly cooler than it has been, 20 - 21 during the day, 10 - 12 at night. There is a slight chance of some light showers from Sunday onward.

It did turn out really hot yesterday and is set to be even hotter today.

Temperature at 0850am is 16.9º, there is some high cloud and a light wind. Even with that cloud, the forecast says we could have 27º this afternoon, very high for early March. It will be fairly windy this afternoon with a change of direction to be coming from the southeast rather than the north. It will be fairly warm again tonight, no lower than about 13º.

Cooler weather is on the way after today, only 21 - 23º in the daytime, 10 or 11 at night but it's still not likely to rain.

For hay fever sufferers, the mimosa is in full flower so be ready.

Yesterday became rather cloudy and it wasn't nearly as hot here as was expected. But some places on the Algarve's west coast reached 29º.

It's very cloudy again this morning, low, grey misty cloud.  Temperature at 0830am is 16.1º and it's more humid than recently. It will be cloudy all day, the temperature is unlikely to get above 21º. The wind, such as it is, comes currently from the south but during the night it will be back from the north bringing the temperature down to 11 or 12º.

It might be a little bit warmer for the rest of the week and over the weekend. It should stay dry but from Monday there is an increasing chance of rain along with cooler temperatures.
