Update - it's 445pm and it's 26C/78F outside and very still. I've just had to put the fan on to blow away the hot air as I have been working up next Saturday's quiz and it's been hard work, steam rising etc.

In case you missed it earlier, here's the URL for the  on-line weather station over on Cerro Grande. It does go off-line every now and then but ususally can be relied upon.

www.wunderground.com/swf/Rapid_Fire.swf?units=both&station=IALGARVE1

Cut and paste that into your browser, connect and save as a favourite.

Thanks for the compliments by the way.

Finally, there is some though that the longer range forecasts are suggesting some fairly hefty rainfall this coming weekend. Watch this space!

Tom, I may be wrong but I think maybe the new weather station on Cerro Grande is situated on the villa opposite us. It is quite large and wasnt there in July when we were over, by the end of August it had appeared. It is bigger than your average "weather station" will take a photo at the weekend and post it. It is quite something!

It's gonna be a bright bright bright bright sun shiny day...

Today's quiz question and no googling, who wrote and sung that?

At 0830 it's 21C/70F, not too shabby for the time of year and time of day, bright blue skies and a very slight breeze from the east.

Today's high an excellent 27C/81F and the outlook for the next couple of days is much the same.

However, some forecasts are predicting thunderstorms over the weekend with fairly heavy rain, so let's be ready just in case.

Johnny Nash wrote it , Jimmy Cliff sung it.

Anyway yesterday was definitely one of them and today is going to be another.

0830 am and it is 21C/70F, bright blue skise and such. Loght wind from the NNE and today's forecast high once again 27C/81F.Not a speck of rain anywhere for 300 miles Enjoy.

Tomorrow and Friday expected to be similar.

View towards Albufeira, 2 minutes ago.

Outdoor temp 22c
Indoor 24.5C all windows open - obviously no heating!

It's a tough life.
