Still warm but cloudy and humid this morning. No rain on the radar yet, but it is forecast for later in the day.

Temperature at 09.00rs here in Páteo is 21.1ºC. There is a light breeze. Max today around 24.

Tonight will be quite col as the cold fron crosses, 17 or 18 along the coast, cooler still inland.

There will be similar temperatures tomorrow with more rain. Friday should be a nicer with just a chance of some light showers. The weekend will be fairly cloudy but still warm and humid, there is a possibility of more rain.

Well I don't know where yesterday's rain went, but it didn't come here. This morning the radar at Loulé is off line, so although I can a lot of rain around Lisbon and further north I don't know if any is coming our way.

It is though very murky outside, especially to the west.

Temperature at 0815am is 21.6ºC, quite acceptable for mid October and there is quite a breeze. Forecast is for showers with a maximum temperature of 24ºC.

Tonight will be, 18 - 20, but feeling damp. Tomorrow could see a few showers, the weekend will be cloudy but warm at around 25 or 26 and dry.

There's been some light rain during the night but this morning is dry but cloudy. Temperature at 0840am is 20.1ºC, feeling damp in humidity 81%.

Today will stay cloudy, max temperature around 25ºC and only a slight chance of rain here.

Tonight it will be about 18ºC. Little change for the weekend, except a small chance of a shower or two,  is the forecast, and that goes into Monday and Tuesday. The rest of next week should have clearer skies, so sunny days days in the mid 20's but colder at night, could be down to 15 or 16 even along the coast.  It could soon be winter duvet time.

A hurricane is forming in the Atlantic and heading to the south of the Iberian Peninsula. It could reach the Algarve region and hit as a tropical storm between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Strong wind and high waves are expected.

Indeed. A weather warning has been issued for this evening and tonight for the  region. Strong winds, heavy rain and rough seas are expected through the night until the early hours of Sunday. In the centre and north of the country winds of 75kph with gusts up to 125kph and more are expected, which could make for interesting flying conditions.

Other than that, we are expecting a fairly warm day, temperature up to around 24 - 26ºC until the wind and rain come along. Tonight will still be fairly warm, but behind the storm is coming much colder weather, temperatures could fall as low as 20ºC in the daytime Sunday and Monday, right down to maybe 11 or 12 on Monday night.

Winter draws on people.

Hurricane Leslie has turned sharply to the North in the last 12 hours and is dissipating rapidly before reaching mainland. Fortunately, the Algarve region should not suffer much from its effects now. It is currently windless and dry.

We did get some light rain during the night but most of the tail 'swirl' of the storm missed us and rained further north and on Spain instead. But it's cold this morning, only 17ºC at 0755am, the coldest it's been here for months. Outside there's high, grey, flat cloud and a light breeze. There is a possibility of a further light shower or two, but it will be mainly dry with a maximum temperature of around 24ºC. It will be cold again tonight, 16 or 17 along the coast, 12 - 14 inland.

Similar is expected tomorrow, but with showers much more likely . Tuesday will be a clearer day, however with the same temperatures which are about average for the time of year. For the rest of next week, it's going to be mostly dry, just the odd shower maybe, daytimes 22 - 24ºC, night-times 12 - 16ºC depending on where you are.

Yep, it was a total none event! We'd battened down the hatches, then the wind died down early evening and we had five minutes rain just after midnight, what a false alarm!
Much nicer here than Tom has, very still, sunny and 20 degree's, perfect for a good beach walk me thinks.

UPDATE 1240HRS - raining and quite windy.

Some people east of here had a lot more rain early Sunday than we did. Missed!

This morning it is very cloudy and we have had some sprinkles of rain. Temperature at 1020am is 19.4ºC, feels and is damp. The radar shows a lot more cloud and rain coming our way from the west. It's going to stay cloudy and rather cooler than it has been, max today only 21ºC. Could be positively nippy tonight, down to 12ºC away from the coast, 15 or 16 by the sea.

Tomorrow and Wednesday should be dry days but cloudy and maybe a bit warmer. Later in the week it's going to be cloudy still, temperatures in the low 20's (average for this time of year) and a fair chance of more showers.

What a difference an hour makes, the rain cleared off late afternoon, now it’s a lovely evening, some welcome sun but we can’t complain, the weather the past four weeks has been exceptional.
The other noticeable thing, the sea temperature! It’s been very warm, I’ve only walked in the surf but that said, I’ve done so many times and many miles, and it is lovely! Whilst we missed most of the summer due to other commitments, we think, weather wise, out here, we’ve had a cracking year, and it ain’t finished yet!

Yes, it turned out quite pleasant later yesterday, although some from 't north were complaining it was too cold!

Anyway, this morning started quite cloudy but it's thinning out now. Nice outside with a fresh breeze and at 0935 it is 20.2ºC.  Expecting a high of 23 later, it should stay dry. Tonight will be 15 - 17 inland, a bit warmer along the coast.

Showers are forecast for tomorrow as a front crosses the country. Temperatures will be about the same as today but behind that front is cold air. Thursday will be noticeably colder than today, probably no higher than 20ºC. And that slightly unsettled, cloudy and showery weather is quite likely to last over the weekend.

Just seen on the News the devastation on theWest coast between Lisbon and Porto!
No wonder people in the UK were asking if we are ok, it obviously passed to the West of us, thank goodness.
The damage it’s done is frightening!

People on other forums are puzzled by tales of devastation and destruction in the storms. No-one died and almost everything is working as normal. Down here it rained a lot and that was it.

This morning is bright and clear, some cloud way off on the horizon. There is a bit of a breeze, temperature at 0810am is 16.0ºC. Showers are forecast for later, but I cannot see much on the radar as yet. Top temperature today will be around 24ºC.

It could get quite cold in sheltered spots tonight, as low 12ºC, 14 or 15 along the coast.

The next few days are going to be typical mid October, a mix of sunshine and showers with temperatures similar to today.

It rained quite hard for a while last night. This morning started very grey, it's cleared up a bit but I can see a lot of cloud out to the west where the weather is coming from. Unfortunately the Loulé weather radar is broken yet again, although showers are forecast I cannot tell you where there are. Temperature at 0845am is 16.2ºC. With the cloud cover and likely rain, we are not likely to have more than around 20ºC today. That is though about average for mid October. Tonight it will be fairly cold, could be down to 12 inland, 14 or 15 along the coast. Tomorrow will be pretty similar to today, Saturday might be a little better, a touch warmer and dry. Sunday could be another rainy day, then for next week in southerly winds we could be having warmer and generally nicer days.

Fairly dismal this morning, it's raining but not as hard as it was an hour ago. Temperature at 0810am is 16.5ºC. The radar shows a lot more rain coming our way from the north, it's going to stay wet for a few hours yet. If and when it clears, the temperature might struggle up to 21ºC. Tonight will be fairly cold again, 12 or 13 inland and 15 or 16 along the coast.

Saturday and Sunday are also going to be rainy days, showers with perhaps some longer spells and similar temperatures.

Drier and slightly warmer weather should be coming our way from Monday for a few days.
