It was a cloudy start to the day but it is breaking up now. Temperature at 1030am is 24.0ºC and it is quite humid again, 68% it says. It will stay a bit cloudy, top temperature not more than about 25 maybe 26ºC. It will probably be quite windy again later. Another cold night coming up. 18 or 19 along the coast, as low as 16ºC inland. Tomorrow and Tuesday are going to be a lot hotter once a small area of low pressure off the coast breaks up over the next 24 hours or so and the wind changes direction. 29 is forecast for tomorrow. And for the rest of the week it will be 30 - 32 daytimes, 18 - 20 at night under mostly clear sky.

A bright start to the day, just a little cloud out to sea. Temperature at 0745am is 20.9ºC, it's fairly humid once more at 74% and there is a light breeze. It will be hotter today than it has been lately and could reach 30ºC away from the coastal breezes. However once again it will be cold at night, down to around 19 along the coast, 17 inland. Tuesday and Wednesday will be just about the same.

Almost a case for merging the Weather in Albufeira Today and the British Weather Today threads into one

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Last report for a few weeks as I am off later to sample the weather in the south west of France. Don't forget you can get the local situation and forecast in English at http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/index.jsp#Faro&Albufeira A warm and humid morning here, 27.1ºC and 80% humidity at 1045am. Expecting a high of 30ºC today, it's a little bit windy which will, as yesterday, increase later. It will be cold again tonight, 16 or 17 inland around 20 along the coast. No change in the weather is currently forecast for the next ten days.

The weather forecast is showing 29 degrees Centigrade for 3pm, however the thermometer outside my back door is currently touching 38 in the shade. It’s by far the hottest day since we came out just over 3 weeks ago and is quite unbearable outside.

Well it’s hotting up now!
Tomorrow BBC say 33, IPMA say 38!!! But how can they be so different? The BBC are always more conservative and from experience it normally beats IPMA’s forecast, add to that the newspapers are reporting a freak heatwave for Portugal, Spain and France with 48, yes forty eight degrees, being predicted! If it happens my advice is to find air conditioning and stay inside! |

IPMA are forecasting 38 for today, be careful out there, there is no excuse for sunburn or sunstroke!

BBC Weather this morning is forecasting 47 degrees INLAND for Portugal this weekend. This is only 1 degree below the maximum ever experienced in Europe (Greece).
Presumably this will do nothing to reduce the fire risk either. Whilst it will be cooler around the coasts, as Andrew says, take care out there. |

Over here in Roja Pe, the thermometer is currently showing 33 degrees. There is a lot of cloud around and only a slight breeze. Last night was really hot and we needed the air conditioning on throughout. Looks like another day hiding indoors for me.

Thermometer has just reached 40 in the shade. It is seriously hot here, and certainly on a par with some of the crazy temps we’ve experienced in Greece in the height of summers past. There is still some hazy cloud around and a bit of breeze, but the heat is so, that it feels like it’s coming from a fan heater.
Not looking forward to the walk out this evening, and if it wasn’t for that ice cold glass of lager calling out to me, I think I would be staying put 🍺 |

I call that blast furnace weather and I admire your resolve, I’d have caved in to the cold lager and or g & t’s well before!
👏 And IPMA, who I’ve said before normally under call it, are forecasting 39 for today, so brace yourself for more of the same, scorchio! |

For once I'm not really jealous of the weather in Albufeira, happy with the mid twenties here in Dublin.
