Well!!! I'm completely traumatised. For the past 5 years we have left the gloomy UK behind on the first Saturday in September to spend two fantastic weeks in Albufeira. This year, due to my daughter in law's new job we went last week in June/first week in July. I really feel as though I should be at the airport right about now - the earlier holiday was brilliant, but, greedy old me is completely fed up and will probably stay this way for the next fortnight!! Will everyone who either lives over there or is taking their holidays during the next two weeks have a drink for me and mine??

Wireman, joining our youngest son next friday, hope the weather keeps up. "Pants", I could call it something worse than that, but it would probably be banned. Roll on 6 days and counting.

This weather station, which I understand is on Cerro Grande, says it is only 25C/77F. You poor lot must be frozen.

I have just spotted on two weather websites that it is 33/34C at Faro timed at 1930hrs.
Hot or what?
Will I have this to look forward to when I get home on Monday night?
It is currently 12C in Derby and falling!!

Looks like it's on the cards - 0830 and it was just 20C or 66F. very much cooler than of late. Rather breezier as well.
Daytime highs are still going to be around 29 or 30C, but the wind has shifted to the north-west which makes the nights cooler.
That's my last weather report for a while as I am shortly off to enjoy the delights of the late English summer.
