Always look on the bright side...... Boris told us that the light at end of the tunnel is in sight. So that's all-right then. Problem is it may be an approaching express. I don't know how Covid news is delivered in Portugal. Our Boris always has to be grandiose. The UK test & trace system he announced was to be "World Beating". Turned out not even to be adequate. After a couple of such pronouncements cynicism sets in. He's a broad brush man. No good at policy detail. In any case Boris's jacket is on a shaky nail. Tory "grandees" are not 'appy with his performance. But will the next PM be any better? Rather off topic I'm afraid but as most people have gone quiet I thought I'd vent a bit of spleen. Off now to the daily Scottish Covid briefing. Our revered FM has got us in a virtual lockdown from Friday. Hey ho! Sooner I can get back to the Cavern the better.

There is an obsession with statistics, which are used as a sledgehammer to dull the populace into obedience. Which is being increasingly contested.
