The Weather in Twatt

   I'm visiting family on the Orkney Mainlandand, not far from the tiny community of Twatt. 18c, light cloud, 15 mph wind. In Orkney terms a grand day.
Wind usually is much stronger than that, so much so that few trees survive. Only in sheltered pockets. The sail from Scrabster to Stromness was as usual interesting.  Very "lumpy" as we sailed past Hoy.  But I held onto my breakfast.
