Minimum fuel load is something like 20% over requirement. Most airlines will not carry any more. Why transport fuel?

Anyone flown Easyjet lately that have prebooked their seats. I assume you will be called to board before others that have not, to save the "excuse me your sat in my/our seats."
Will those that have prebooked seats board before speedy boarders, or are Easyjet doing away with it?

much easier to turn up at your leisure and board last then go to a row with an empty seat and say 'my wife is going to sit here with a 6 month old baby - do you want to stay or move to that spare seat over there. Voila - 2 seats and no scrum to get them.

Got to agree there Avril regarding cheap flights it looks like the days of getting them dirt free are gone. Hope not though.

I remember when Easyjet had not long started and had bought some aircraft off BAs Go. We were having a few drinks in a bar in Benidorm on a long weekend we had  booked.
The conversation with another couple there came around to the usual. Where are you staying, how long are you here for. When we said 4 days there was a look of surprise. How much did you pay for the flight then.  When we told them £35 each. What each way they said. No thats return the look on their faces.  and that was flying out on a Saturday.

Aye they were the days. We used to go to Majorca three or four times a year for not a lot. The best bargain was 4 or us in August for £175!

as of november, there is no speedy boarding.  you pay £12.00 each way for row 1 or the row in the middle near the emergency exit and get extra leg room,  £6.00 each way for rows 2-6 and then £3.00 each way for rows 7 and beyond,  if you aren't bothered where you sit, you don't pay and board last.  We have booked Portugal and Corfu flights for 2013 and have chosen row 7 for the 3 of us so has worked out a lot cheaper than speeding boarding which we previously always paid for.

Flew with easyJet on 20th September from Luton to Faro.
We did not pre-book seats.
Those who had got on first & took their seats, those that hadn't took pot luck.
Not a problem though as there were no more than 20 who had pre booked.
Flight was almost full but getting 2 seats together was no problem.
They were offering free "Priority Boarding" (i.e. after pre booked/before non pre booked) if you agreed to put your hand luggage in the hold (no charge for this) - they were worried about space in overhead lockers as the flight was near full capacity.
There was no Speedy Boarding - pre booked seats has replaced it.
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Bob, we have been to benidorm a couple of times for a long weekend.
One time we went with friends so I sat with to old boys, told me they were going for 2 months and asked how long I was going for, when I said for just a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) they both just looked at me like I was mental!! Ha ha
They then unpacked their picnic and offered me a piece of pork pie, telling me they weren't paying airline prices!
Had to giggle when we bumped into them again checking into the same hotel as us.

As for really cheap prices my wife's mum and dad had planned a holiday to Florida and at the last minute they asked my wife if she wanted to go with them as I was working. Booked a flight from good old tele txt for £49 return!!! But it was about 20 years ago.

EASYJET FLIGHTS FOR JUNE/JULY/AUGUST RELEASED THIS MORNING.  Even though we are supposed to get email notification from Easyjet when they are to be released, it was purely by chance that we checked first thing this morning,  about 6.30am to be exact!  anyway have booked southend to faro departing sun 25 august for 9 nights, 2 adults 1 child pre booked seats (only the £3 ones!) £501.00.  getting out is cheap, it's getting back that is so expensive!!

Hi all

Checked easyJet from Glasgow and apart from return flights being very expensive, flight times aren't great either so might pay a bit extra and fly with Jet2.  Or should I hold out for Ryanair coming out out?

Difficult one isn't it - we went with the southend/faro route as flight times were good, 6.30am out and back into southend mid-day.

Newcastle flights - cheap to go, very dear to return with Easyjet, Jet2 even more expensive!!
We probably won't be going to Albufeira next year (other things to do) but if I was I'd be hanging on, this might just be the one year where the prices will come down if no one books!

Have noticed that Ryanair outbound prices from Stansted in August are out, but not Faro to Stansted. Reasonable price going out, no prices for guessing where prices will be coming back.
