This years prices have increased tremendously Bedlam, I think that's why this topic was started in the first place to compare what prices for next year are being charged with different airlines flying from various airports.

Yes I realise that thank you, that's if your carrier of (reasonable cost) choice is still routing to your Airport of choice when you wish to travel.
Both a NO for me to return to the UK in November !!!! |

I have just been checking on Monarch for November flying from Manchester, the prices are silly. We have already booked with Ryanair again for November, flew first time with them in Sept, a bit sceptical hearing all the horror stories but have to say they were ok, as long as you stick to to the rules and put earplugs in for all the onboard sales. Just also checked Ryanair for same flights Nov we have booked and they have increased by £120. March 2013 flights are still expensive with Monarch & Ryanair so will hold out and try and get a bargain, if that's possible. Can't also believe how expensive Jet2 have gone as well, although they finish their flying timetable at beginning of Nov and dont start again until April. Easy jet from Liverpool are also silly prices especially when you have to add car parking fees to the costing.

Ryanair still fly into Manchester late in November, do they not fly into Leeds Bradford? What about Jet2? or are they same as Manchester and stop flying for winter beginning of November.

Ryanair cease Leeds/Bradford soon until who knows when..............
Jet2 the same currently at stupid prices Monarch commence from Leeds/Bradford next Spring (having picked up on BMI Baby) To be honest I have not checked anything in last 10 days or so, I have no commitments so will go with the flow, be it Faro to anywhere in UK if the price is right and then onwards to York |

We live in North Norfolk - nearest airports for Faro are Stansted, Luton, Southend.
So that's around £50 in petrol for the journey to the airport & back. (taxi would be minimum of £160) Normally we go for around 3 weeks so car parking is another £100+ (interestingly, once you go over 2 weeks the car park cost doesn't increase an awful lot - normally only around £5 for each extra week after the initial 2 weeks. Return transfer from Faro to Albufeira is £50. So before we book a flight each trip will already cost us around £200 so really the flight cost is the least of our worries. In reality though, if we can get a flight for anything less than £200 (£100 each) then for what you get (i.e. a 2.5 hour flight) it's very good value for money in comparison to the other costs. |

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Gone are the days- January 2011- £12 return Leeds/Bradford to Faro with Ryanair. Did not think Ryanair were flying next summer from Leeds/Bradford but now appears they are cheapest April flights £48.99 each way.

Too much going on at home at the mo, so can't make any plans. The flight prices are too high anyway, may change my mind if they come down a bit!! |

p.s.g.
Absolutely love Albufeira but wouldn`t be paying £400 for 2 that late in the season. We will be looking at the Canaries or booking full package if those prices become the norm. |
