Hi there, I'm 33 years old with 20 years experience in hospitality ( yes I started when I was 13 ) would I be able to find work in Albuferia? I don't expect to walk into a job, i was just enquiring on how you would look for a job is there any websites you could recommend, Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you

There is a list of most hotels on my site ... why not go through them and e-mail to see if they have vacancies ... everybody speaks english.

www.albufeiraguide.yolasite.com

go to www.algarvedailynews.com, where you can advertise ... also, under `features`, they have free portuguese lessons.

You will be very lucky if you can find something long term or any term other than holiday rates this time of year.......I have been looking for 12 month+ let for last few months.
I think maybe you might be able to rent a "room". If there is any good suggestions to be had the very helpful people in the know on here give very good advice.

For rentals, check with estate agencies. They often have unsold property on their books that cannot be used for holiday rentals (eg there is no fire escape!) but may be available for rental to others.

If you are happy to start with bar or restaurant work nearly every bar on The Strip seemed to have an advert up looking for staff when I walked down there earlier in the week.
