Hi
Hope someone can help me, we are travel over soon for a holiday and I am trying to work out a cheaper option to paying for beach sunbeds and parasols. (4 in party) can anyone help with an approximate cost for a beach parasol?
Thanks :-)

The cost of a sunbed + parasol is in the range 10 Euro to 15 Euro per bed per day. You can buy decent parasols from upwards of about 12 Euro each.

Beach sunbed prices vary slightly depending on where you are. We paid 15 Euros for two beds and a fixed parasol on the beach near the lift; the same at Gale beach but that also included a wind break; or 12 Euros for two beds & parasol near Inatel.
Prices do reduce later in the day but there are no half day offers.
Certainly cheaper to buy a parasol and lie on a towel but it depends on your preference.

I bought an adequate beach parasol at the Continente/Modelo (by the Brisa Sol) for 8 euros last month (special offer) then left it behind in the villa at the end of our stay. Wasteful but seemed the cheapest/best option, it wouldn't fit in our largest suitcase and I could imagine the delight of EasyJet as they charged us some huge premium for flying it back.
I bought one a few years ago from the lady selling them near the green-tiled house - 15 Euros for that one.

Michele - if you bought sunbeds, how would you cart them down to the beach and back?

LOL no, I was trying to get a comparison, so that we could make an informed decision. But we're going for the purchase of beach parasols and laying on towels on the sand

Should you have the misfortune to plonk your backside down on a sunbed at the Pine Cliffs on Falesia Beach, and you're not staying there, it will cost you 150 (yes that one hundred and fifty) Euro per day.

Ouch No way - the sand will be quite ok for us lol. Now all I need to do is find a launderette that pretty close to the Acqua Maris Balaia hotel. For the necessary mid two week holiday clean clothes session
