No information on who is playing (in any of the international friendly tournaments) as yet .. but
the dates are confirmed from uefa and cyprus cup .... Mon Mar 2 - Wed Mar 11 ... so assume the matches will be Wed Mar 4, Fri Mar 6, Mon Mar 9, Wed Mar 11 ... In subsequent years, the `window` moves a full fortnight earlier ..

Reasonable to assume, although I have not yet found a date, that the She Believes Cup will be held in the USA around the same time. That features the top teams. After Cyprus, the Algarve Cup is definitely becoming third choice! Still, it's free and played mostly on midweek afternoons so some diversion will be available at various stadia across the Algarve.

Algarve Cup 2020 teams:Belgium, The competition will run from 2 – 11 March, 2020, with the group draw to take place on 7 January, 2020. Normally twelve teams turn up so expect a few additions during the next month or so. Info via the NZ FA, …. big news is the Germans return. The top ranking She Believes Cup in the US usually takes place in March each year with Germany invited as a matter of course with their ranking. |

Thanks Lofters. For those who may not know, the tournament is played at various grounds around the Algarve, including our stadium here in Albufeira. Games are mostly on weekday afternoons and admission is free. The final is played at the Algarve Stadium.
The confirmed fixture list is normally available 3 weeks or so in advance.

She Believes last year was England (won), USA, Brazil and Japan ... other top countries preparing for France 2019 individually. This year those four are going to the Japan Olympics .. so may be same again for SBC ..

7 countries .. Canada, Poland, Holland, Scotland, Switzerland, Spain and China ... are not there from last time ... three `new` countries are .. Germany ... Italy (2nd in Cyprus last year) .. and Belgium (3rd in Cyprus last year). It is still the same three games as last year ...
The new format is explained at the Swedish FA ... unfortunately, the link isnt working for me, but if you go to their site ... click Landsl*g ... and on the right is the item for Algarve Cup ..

Strange why a word that in English refers to a by-product of iron and steel production should be blanked out by automated censorship. We await the draw in a month's time. Usual venues include Albufeira, Lagos, the Bellavisita stadium in Parchal and Vila Real de Santo António as well as the Algarve Stadium. But fewer teams this year, thus fewer games.

Strange year, on Jan 2nd ... and neither USA, England or Scotland have any fixtures posted before April ... though USA have a training camp in January.
We now know where Canada and Holland are going ... they are joining Brazil in France for the new Tournoi 2020 basically a wee copy of the She Believes Cup ..
