Not what the tourists want! Town beach invaded by smelly seaweed on Monday. Pictures from Bob D. It will be washed away by the tides soon, don't worry!

Hi, just wondering if dogs are allowed on the beach?

Thank you - we are over end of October to Mid January so that's good to know although I think Armacao may be closer to where we will be staying.

Dogs on the beach most day all through the summer, early morning though. been watching them from balcony in Sol-e-Mar for the last 2 weeks. so the no dogs allowed signs are being ignored.

Meant to say council workers dug a big hole at tne end of the beach and filled it with the dead seweed then covered it with sand but it took them 4 day before they got round to do it. the left the rast to th sea do clear it. Which the it piled up on th beach by the jetty.

Definitely more than in the past few years. I don't know why. I will be down there later and will see if there's any to take a picture of.

There's really just a tide mark of seaweed. Pictures a bit later.
