Looks like a climbing surface you see in leisure centres. I can see people trying to climb it unless the cut the protruding spikes of level with the face.

What a pity that the cement that is sprayed is the rather ugly industrial grey instead of adding a colour to the cement, similar to the original rock. The images circulated around our world would literally paint Albufeira is a much more appealing light.

Very true Bob. Hopefully it looks well when it is finished. Big smile

There is a significant effort and considerable expense is being put into promoting Albufeira and I really appreciate that.

Work continues on the cliffs but they had just stopped when I got there earlier because of the high winds.

Complete contrast today! A much nicer day so far, so after I had me nose poked to prove (I hope!) my fitness to have dinner tomorrow, I went by the beach. Plenty of people out walking, some fishing and even a few out on their paddleboards and stuff. Temperature was around 18º, wind very light for a change.

No-one working on the cliffs today.

Part of the Largo 25 de Abril has been rather crudely resurfaced in concrete. The paving slabs laid down when the area was rebuilt are now smashed to pieces, having been usedd by trucks delivering stages for events etc. I can only hope a more aesthetic  and long lasting surface is used if it is to be re-done completely.
