Some of the cats were out in the sun. A new house has been built for them at the colony on the road down to the marina opposite the Finisterra development. At the viewing platform, they were lounging about as usual. One of the women who looks after them told me that there are fifteen or so in that particular tribe. Many of them came out to say hello. Across Albufeira she said that there are about 400 cats under the care of the cat charity.

All those I saw looked very clean and well cared for. They are fed every day and a lot of them have been given names. Seems a good life to me, lounging around in the sun, fed and watered, a nice house to sleep in and little else to do apart from catch the odd mouse or rat. They certainly seem to have humans where they want them.
