Don’t know if anyone else has seen it but Albuferia Old Town has been on UK TV this week, channel 4’s A New Life In The Sun.
They have been following a couple who have opened a new restaurant called Staar. A very unfortunate time for anyone in business especially people just starting out. |

I stopped outside Starr yesterday on my way to the shops. Looks nice inside but obviously they, as everyone, have done very little business if any this winter. The council has announced the equivalent of a rates relief until the end of March, which will help, but I expect many small places like that never to re-open.
For those who don't know, it's in Travessa dos Arcos just off the old town square. It occupies a site previously a restaurant whose owners retired a year or so back.

I too have been watching this week. It has been lovely to follow the progress. Would love to have been able to visit, but hopefully they will still be there next time I can visit Albufeira. Have seen their menu on trip advisor, looks very nice. Cubsur, can you recall the previous name of the restaurant?
