The weeds grow higher. The first though are part of the Albufeira council's policy of encouraging the growth of natural plants along the roadside pavements.

Another few weeks on. The weeds are happily growing thanks to the recent rains.

It is nearly a year since the repair works were completed and when we understood that sales would begin. Since then, nothing. Meanwhile, yesterday, all was quiet. Some of the large properties around the back are occupied. Click to see a larger picture.

The townhouses around the back are mostly now occupied but around them is a wasteland still.

There has been some major vegetation clearance around the blocks that were not refurbished. But weeds continue to take over around those that were. And that tree that attacks me every time I walk past needs to be dealt with!

Sunday 5th October not much happening and the weeds starting to take over.

And here we are in August, no progress. The refurbished blocks remain unoccupied. Id did spot a couple workmen's vans elsewhere on site. Weeds are taking over again. The townhouses seem to be mostly sold. One is obviously a tourist let as I saw a group of five English blokes emerging for their day, at 3.30pm! If you haven't done yours yet, be aware that the office at the Albufeira health centre will only deal with this on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1000 - 1200, Tuesdays and Thursdays 1400 - 1600. Good job I went in and asked on the way past!

You need to take passport and residencia card, SNS and Social security numbers if not on the card.

I had the text message last week to confirm my SNS data. I won't be home for a couple of weeks, but in the meantime has anyone actually worked out what must be done?

The message - Utente SNS n.xxxxxx2326, se e residente atualize os seus dados no RNU, junto de uma unidade de saude do SNS. Obrigado.

It looks to me that I must physically go to an RNU. Next to the Albufeira Health Centre? When is it open? What documents do they want?

Any clues gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
