I was told that on Monday the GNR were telling drivers not to wait for their pickups and moving them back up the hill. It was still pretty chaotic at times last night. I hope no-one ever needs an ambulance at night down there!

Some genius in the local council has decided that the pickup and setdown point for Uber and Bolt in the old town will be the rua do MFA. On Friday night this resulted in a line of these vehicles stretching all the way from the corner at the bottom, where the Cavern and Geordie Viking bars are located, right back up the hill to the top by the bakery, a distance of about 500 metres. That would mean 60 or 70 cars.  Chaos abounded, with hordes of people milling about waiting for pickups which were stuck in the queue.

Worse, apparently some decided that the the seats said bars could be used as waiting rooms.
