Some of you will know that extensive works are taking place at Balaia Golf Club. New roads are being laid, massive trenches are being dug for new water mains and sewers, new street lighting is popping up everywhere. Pictures taken Monday 22nd January 2024.

Along both sides of the driving range




These are the trenches along the Estrada de Branqueira, beyond the mansion with the big white walls.



and this is our bowling green. Careful! Trenches are being dug right alongside and a road between the green and the white garden wall of the mansion. So far they have been careful, although obviously we cannot use it.






Works are not affecting the golf course. We were told that the clubhouse would close last week for refurbishment, but so far it has not.
