Silkeborg [Norway[ were today crowned Champions for this years competition.

Last days results:

Elfsborg 1-2 Silkeborg.
Salt Lake City 3-0 Klaksvik.
Midtjylland 0-1 Frederikstad.
Brondby 1-3 Gothenborg.

Salt Lake appear as runners-up and minnows Klaksvik, the wooden-spoonists.

Tournament swinging along nicely, with all the latest scores up on https://theatlanticcup.com/fixtures/2024-2/

Tonight, at Parchal, an Invitational XI [thought to be Mafra, from Portugals second level] took the place of Copenhagen. The Danes somehow had originally been slated to play two nights on the run, after last nights exciting 5-4 win over Elfsborg. 

Gothenburg might have wished otherwise as the Invited ones celebrated their call-up by larruping them 7-1.

Games tomorrow for Silkeborg, Salt Lake, Klaksvik and Frederikstad. The SL v Fr game has been moved at the very last minute ..... to Lagos [4pm].

The game at Ferreiras between Fredrikstadt and Elfsborg was notable for some atrocious defending and goalkeeping. Elfsborg certainly didn't look like a team who had finished second in Sweden's top league in 2023.

The tournament is up and running nicely.
Their website, https://theatlanticcup.com/fixtures/2024-2/  is nowadays showing goal highlights via Youtube.
Wins so far for Fredrikstad, Beijing Guon, Molde and tonight Silkeborg [over Goteborg] who for me have been the most impressive.
Tomorrow afternoon sees the first appearance of Americans, Salt Lake City.

Pinecliffs is indeed a private ground. No public access.

Only a couple of games at Ferreiras, Tuesday 30th and Friday 2nd.

This Winters tournament is booked in over eleven days from the end of this month, teams from USA, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Faroe Islands. Scandinavians then, plus Salt Lake City from Utah:  see ...


Main venues are: Estadio Algarve, Estadio Nora at Ferreiras and Bela Vista at Parchal, with one odd game Klaksvik [Faroes] v Beijing Guon [China] at Pinecliffs. 

Guon only appear for this single match,  they don't feature as part of the published tournament ladder.

From my experience spectator admission should be free to all, although Pinecliffs is probably a private ground with no access [to the Chinese] for the great unwashed. LOL

Information received today that the annual Atlantic Cup competition will be taking place across the Algarve, in late January/ early February as has become the norm. Clap
