An excavator was working, closing one side of the road. There were some more of those concrete tunnel segments waiting to be placed in the channel being fashioned where the arch can be seen. On the other side of the road it is still basically a dry river bed.

Another change. It’s not long ago they did the other one. Then it was modified more on the beach, lining the trench with rocks. Yes, the old one discharged across the beach whenever a severe thunderstorm came across. Not sure why the repairs retain the same method.

Between Inatel and Chalet Santa Rita, a new very large storm drain is going into replace the previous version which was badly damaged in winter storms. At the moment it looks as if it will discharge across the beach.
