The former Millenium bankbuilding in the square. Nothing I can see to suggest what it will become. Cash machines removed as I mentioned elsewhere.

The work on the property in the alleyway near the church has almost finished. Has master locks by the door, obviously for tourist lets. All it needs now is the AL licence!


The yard across the street is being done.

So far as I can tell the building permit sign is blank. I have no idea what this is going to be.

I don't know whether this is a conversion or a complete demolition. This is in Rua 5 de Outubro (the road to the tunnel) opposite the Bailote restaurant. The buildings housed an estate agent, a bureau de change and a restaurant called Sabores do Churrasco.

Bagatelle - locked and shuttered last night, an old pile of builder's rubble outside the door. Also closed is Sitio de Mario beneath.

The old Imortal pavilion has seen no work in months. The fence at the side has come down, revealing what was either a yard or a garden in the past.





The cottage next door looks to have been finished off nicely, but who's going to want to live next to a massive building site?


And further into town the conversion first seen  over a year ago seems to also have stalled.
