Beg to report that the stretch of Rua Coronel Águas down past the old cemetery has re-opened to traffic. Whether or not buses 7 and 8 have resumed their normal routes I do not know. But since the diversion was never announced and that has been the case for more than a year...

Not much progress visible since last I looked. Sunday 1st March.

Things are moving on. The crane has gone, the spillway is complete. Work is now in progress to restore the road surface. But a big hole has appeared in front of the Intermarché supermarket, blocking access to that road from the town direction. Whether or not connected to the other work, I know not. Looking at the spillway, what about the effect on the beach? Considering that this is a storm drain bringing surface water to be dumped straight into the sea.

Road is still closed, plenty of work yet to be done.

Nearly finished, although no work was being done this afternoon. The spillway is in situ. The crane has moved down to the bottom. The roads are being reconstructed.

Rua Sir Cliff Richard is now open, but there is still a lot of work to be done on the road going down the hill towards the marina.

 A year since my first post on this topic. Work continues along Rua Sir Cliff Richard and Rua Coronel Águas by the old cemetery. Both roads remain closed and it seems little chance of the work being finished any time soon.

Sunday 31st August. Some seriously big holes in the works. Going to be a while until this is finished.
